This is the original sales leaflet for the gearbox driven mkIII drum winch for the Land Rover Series by Mayflower Automotive Products, published in May 1968. Price was a hefty 2750 Dutch guilders (before tax and fitting) in 1968, which was about 1/6 of what you would pay for a new Land Rover 88, and not too many were sold.

MAP produced a nice selection of Land Rover approved optional equipment, including free wheeling hubs, ground anchors and a much cheaper capstan winch. More on those later, watch these pages!
