The 2002 Land Rover Defender Black was a UK only limited edition. It was made in 90 and 110 DCPU (Double Cab Pick-up) form and both variants were limited to 100 examples each.
The Defender Black was a successor to the 2001 Defender Tomb Raider limited edition (also availabe as 90 and 110 DCPU only) and both editions share a lot of add-ons: amongst them a faux rollcage (‘external screen protection bar’), abundant use of chequer plate, leather and chrome bits.
